Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Solitude” by Gene Putney. Location: Mount Evans, Colorado.

“It was the end of the day on Mount Evans when this lone mountain goat appeared from behind the rocks to enjoy the view of the canyon,” explains Putney. “It chose the perfect spot to pose where the sun was highlighting that area like a spotlight. The last rays of the sun added a nice rim light to the mountain goat that made it stand out from the surrounding landscape.”
