Today’s Photo Of The Day is “White Pocket” by Timothy Minnick. Location: Vermillion Cliffs National Monument, Arizona.

“The White Pocket area in the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument is one of the most unique geologic features on the planet,” says Minnick. “Featuring twisted, swirly, multicolored sandstone, it’s in a remote location accessible by a difficult four-wheel drive. It’s worth the trip.

Canon 5D Mark IV, Canon 16-35mm F4 IS L lens at 24mm. Exposure: 1/640 sec., ƒ/11, ISO 640.

Photo of the Day is chosen from various OP galleries, including AssignmentsGalleries and the OP Contests. Assignments have weekly winners that are featured on the OP website homepage, FacebookTwitter and Instagram. To get your photos in the running, all you have to do is submit them.
