Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Sedona Under the New Moon” by David Shield. Location: Sedona, Arizona.
“Wanting to incorporate the Milky Way and night sky into my workflow, I decided to attempt more astrophotography,” says Shield. “A few of the compositions I envisioned included wanting to photograph the same scene, once at twilight and then a separate exposure for the Milky Way. This procedure meant that I’d need to wait with my camera set up for about four hours after the initial twilight exposure before capturing the Milky Way exposure. The two resulting images were then blended together in Photoshop.
Nikon D850. Exposure: 20 sec., f/2.8, ISO 5000.
