“The moon sets behind the Whitney Crest, sitting at a position close to the upper left of a ‘rule of thirds’ line/intersection,” explains Peoples. “I have titled this ‘Transition’ since it captures the transition between one object—the moon—going down while another object—the sun—is illuminating the peaks.”
