Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Sierra Sunrise” by Garry Everett. Location: Mammoth Lakes, California.
“A visit from family during July had us on the eastern side of the Sierras for a couple of days,” explains Everett. “While afternoon storms are frequent over the summer months in the Sierras, typically the clouds dissipate over the evening hours. This particular morning, the remnants of the storm clouds remained above the Sierra for sunrise. This image captures the last of the sunrise color disappearing from the clouds as the first rays of light hit the mountain peaks.”
