Today’s Photo of the Day is “The Beauty of Storms” by Jeremy Janus. Location: Colorado.
“When I first started in photography the last thing in the world I thought I would ever do was become a storm chaser,” explains Janus. “However, after a few years of capturing lightning, that is exactly what I became. The progression of chasing storms is an interesting one. There is a ton of learning how to spot and chase cells, feeling more comfortable around storms and then finally being able to create art within those storms. We chased a cell out southeast of Denver more for the interesting storm formations on this day. When the sun started setting it was illuminating this storm cell with wonderful warm and cool tones. I found a spot that had a small amount of water to reflect the colors from the sky and storm above which added an amazing complexity to the scene.”
