Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Winterlude” by Gary Fua. Location: Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah.
“After tailing the snowstorm, stuck in the snow and frostbite I was able to finally see Bryce Canyon clothed in a winter coat,” says Fua. “The knee-deep snow dusting was a challenge to get through as I threaded slowly to Inspiration Point with the coldest weather I have experienced so far at minus 17 degrees. The photo was taken at Inspiration Point with four horizontal images stitched into one photo as the sun closed in on the horizon, hitting the Hoodoos and illuminating their red-orange colors contrasting the red rock canyon.”
Photo of the Day is chosen from various OP galleries, including Assignments, Galleries and the OP Contests. Assignments have weekly winners that are featured on the OP website homepage, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. To get your photos in the running, all you have to do is submit them.
